SPECIFIC TASKS



Develop and organize business reviews. Analyze categories and identify opportunities. Keeps abreast of market and industry developments;
Responsible for replenishment and ensures proper allocation of purchases;
Keep abreast of market conditions, master data and share knowledge to optimize negotiations in all categories;
Organize business reviews with suppliers and invite the relevant sales people as required;
Participate in private label development;
Establish negotiation mandates in collaboration with sales and make informed decisions based on his/her analyses; Monitor the evolution of agreements in order to maximize them;
Ensure the velocity and freshness of products in the warehouse;
Monitor sales, margins and revenues;
Understand and keep abreast of market trends (USDA, imports, exchange rates, etc);
Supervise and develop the trading assistant under his/her responsibility;
Negotiate product pricing, marketing and preferential agreements to offer customers product availability, variety and quality at the best possible price;
Negotiate price and purchasing conditions for various products, including private label;
Manage and negotiate all supply conditions - order volumes, delivery times, etc;
Collaborate with other departments;
Initiate listing procedures and product modifications with the Adonis banner;
Work with the procurement team to optimize merchandise purchases, inventory management and product deliveries.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management option or related field
5 to 7 years' relevant experience in purchasing and negotiations
Knowledge of food products and distribution environment
Knowledge of marketing strategies
Negotiation and analytical skills
Excellent knowledge of the Office suite
Experience with SAP software an asset
